The City of St. James has set the annual Spring clean-up for April 26.

Not only will groups from around St. James be cleaning up public places, but citizens are encouraged to clean-up their own residences.

In order to encourage the clean up, the city has agreed to pick up almost anything that is set out for trash on each residence's normal pick-up day during the week of April 28 to May 2, free of charge.

The items not allowed include any type of household hazardous waste, refrigerators, and air conditioning units.

Yard waste, which normally needs to be in paper bags, will be picked up no matter how it is sorted. In addition, eight tires per household will be allowed.

Take advantage of this Spring Cleaning Time and help clean-up St. James.
