Plan your day for a fun bicycle ride on Saturday, May 3rd.  The St. James Chamber of Commerce and Meramec Vineyards are sponsoring a bike ride around St. James and the area for May 3rd.  There will be a local route in and around town, and there will be a longer ride of over 20 miles for those who like more of a challenge.  Maps will be provided.

Wal-Mart Distribution Center has contributed a bicycle that will be given away.  A drawing will be held of those who register for the bike ride.

Registration will be from 8 AM until 11 AM at the St. James Tourist Information Center.  Breakfast items donated by Country Mart will be provided to those who register.  Registration is $10 for adults and $5 for those 12 years and younger.  A T-shirt will also be provided to all who register.

Local area businesses will be listed on a passport that will be given to those who register.  When you stop at the listed local businesses, they will have a small gift, or will register you to win something from their business.

More details will be listed in next week’s Leader-Journal, but mark your calendars now for a fun bicycle ride on Saturday, May 3rd.
