June 12

Police responded to the 1100 block of S. Jefferson for a keep the peace call.

June 13

Luke A. Moreland, age 34 of St. James, was arrested in the 100 block of N. Jefferson for a Rolla Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of  No Proof Of Insurance. He was also arrested for a Crawford County warrant for Possession Of A Controlled Substance.  Moreland was subsequently issued a St. James Municipal Court summons for Possession Of  A Controlled Substance and incarcerated in the Phelps County Jail in lieu of bond for the warrants.

Police responded to the dock area of Country Mart in reference to several subjects prowling around that area.  Contact was made with 3 adult males and 2 juvenile females. Joshua L. Swyers, age 17 of St. James, was subsequently arrested for Possession Of A Controlled Substance (Marijuana). Swyers was issued a St. James Municipal Court summons and released. Both female subjects, due to their violation of curfew, were released to their parents.

Everett R. Roark, age 23 of St. James, was arrested in the 600 block of W. James Blvd. for a St. James Municipal Court warrant for Failure To Appear on an original charge of Domestic Assault. He was transported to the Phelps County Jail where he was incarcerated in lieu of $280.00 cash or surety bond.

June 14

Police responded to the St. James Tourist Information Center to assist ambulance.

Police responded to the 300 block of N. Jefferson for a report of Tampering With A Vehicle.

June 15

Police responded to Mobil On The Run for a Leave Without Pay. The officer made contact with the subject who returned and paid for the fuel.

June 16

Police responded to the 600 block of E. Eldon to assist ambulance.

Police took a report for a stealing that occurred in the 700 block of E. Springfield.

Police responded to the St. James Tourist Information Center for an alarm sounding.

A traffic accident occurred at Mobil On The Run parking lot, involving a 1998 Ford Ranger driven by Matthew Brozovich, St. James, and a 2008 Honda Civic being driven by Eliza Boerter (McCray), Fort Wayne, Indiana. No injuries were reported.

Police responded to the 196 mile marker of I-44 to assist a motorist.

Police were dispatched to a residence on St. Ann for a domestic disturbance. Both parties were issued summonses for Domestic Assault 3rd and the 12 Hour Rule was invoked.

Police responded to the 700 block of E. Springfield for a report of the theft of meds.

Police responded to the 300 block of State Route DD for a report of property damage where a vehicle had struck the stairs to a deck. There were no reported injuries.

June 18

A traffic stop at W. James Blvd. and S. Bourbeuse resulted in the arrest of Michael R. Trumbo, age 31 of St. James. Trumbo was arrested for a City of St. Robert warrant for Contempt Of Court, a warrant from the City of Minneapolis, Minnesota for Cocaine Possession, and a warrant from Phelps County for Failure To Appear on an original charge of Fail To Return Rental Property. In addition, Trumbo was arrested and issued St. James Municipal Court summonses for Possession Of  Marijuana and Driving While Revoked. Trumbo was incarcerated in the Phelps County Jail in lieu of bond for the warrants from St. Robert and Phelps County. The Minneapolis warrant was not extraditable.

Police responded to the 30 block of St. Ann for a runaway juvenile.

Police responded to the 900 block of Lyon St. for a report of an assault.

Police were dispatched to the 600 block of N. Meramec for a suspicious vehicle.

Police were dispatched to the I-44 193 westbound mile marker to assist a motorist.

June 19

Police responded to the I-44 194 mile marker to assist the Missouri State Highway Patrol on a one-vehicle accident.

Police were dispatched to 600 block of N. Jefferson to assist ambulance.

Police responded to the 100 block of Seymour for a report of stealing. Investigation is on-going.

A traffic accident occurred at James and Jefferson involving a 1999 Ford F-350 being driven by John A. Birdsong, Newburg, and a 2001 Ford Focus being driven by Brett A. Rolwes, Jefferson City.

Police assisted the Missouri State Highway Patrol at the I-44 westbound 198 mile marker with a single vehicle fatality accident involving a tractor trailer which ran off the right side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned.
