June 26

A traffic accident occurred at the intersection of St.Gregory and St. David when a 1999 Dodge Neon driven by Nancy McGowan, age 35 of St. James, ran off the roadway and struck a pole. No injuries were reported. McGowan was subsequently arrested for Driving While Suspended, Careless & Imprudent Driving, Resisting Arrest, Assault On A Law Enforcement Officer and Driving Under the Influence.

Police responded to the 300 block of W. Washington for a domestic disturbance.

June 27

A traffic accident occurred on Hwy. 68 (N. Jefferson) at James Boulevard. A 2000 Chevrolet pick-up being driven by Ryan Claus, St. James, struck a 1999 Toyota Camry in the rear while it was stopped for a traffic signal. The Toyota Camry was being driven by Cori Miller, St. James. No injuries were reported.

A traffic accident occurred in the 100 block of E. Scioto when a 2005 Ford being driven by Madison Widger, St. James, struck a parked vehicle belonging to Donald Carney, Rolla. No injuries were reported.

An officer was dispatched to the 600 block of W. James Blvd. for a disturbance.

An officer was dispatched to the I-44 200 mile marker to assist ambulance.

An officer was dispatched to the 600 block of W. James Blvd. for a disturbance.

An officer was dispatched to the 400 block of Sidney St. for a possible prowler.

An officer responded to the James Foundation Pool for several juveniles trespassing.

June 28

Police responded to the 500 block of Helen for property damage whereby objects were apparently thrown into a window of the residence and broke the glass.

A traffic accident occurred at the drive-through lane of the Phelps County Bank at 220 N. Jefferson involving a 1996 Plymouth being driven by Tryphena Brand, St. James, and a 2000 Ford being driven by Raymond Lewis, St. James. No injuries were reported.

Police responded to Delano Station Break at 611 N. Jefferson to assist ambulance.

William L. Walsh, age 24 of St. James, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

June 29

Police responded to St. James Conoco at 112 Parker Lane for a report of illegal dumping in their dumpster.

Police responded to For Your Convenience at 321 E. Hardy for a report of a subject, possibly two, attempting to steal gasoline from one of the trucks parked on the east side of the building. A male juvenile was taken into custody. The juvenile was turned over to his parent. A report will be forwarded to the Phelps County Juvenile Office. A female juvenile was also taken into custody at the request of the parent and later released to the parent.

Police responded to #2 Marion Drive in reference to a report of a fight in progress at that location. In addition an ambulance was called as one of the subjects was reported to have been injured. Upon arrival officer made contact with multiple subjects. Due to conflicting witness statements no subjects were arrested.  Complaint and information forms were filled out  and will be submitted to the St. James Municipal Prosecutor for his review for Assault 3rd Degree. The subjects that received injuries refused further medical attention.

June 30

Police responded to the 200 block of Aida St. to assist another agency regarding unreturned rental property.

Police responded to the 100 block of N. Jefferson where several items, possibly drug related paraphernalia, were found and destroyed.

Thomas Bussee, age 46 of St. James, was arrested in the rear of the 100 block of W. James Blvd. for a Phelps County warrant for dangerous drugs. Bussee was incarcerated in the Phelps County Jail.

Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Aida for a report of a disturbance.

Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Parker Lane for a violation of the fireworks ordinance.

Police were dispatched to the area of Oak and Washington for a report of a suspicious person.

July 1

An officer responded to the St. James Apartments to check the well-being of a subject.

Police responded to the 200 block of S. Louise for a report of a domestic assault. Investigation will continue.

July 2

John D. Sneathen, age 19 of Rolla, and Stacey C. Johnson, age 19 of Rolla, were arrested in the 200 block of N. Louise for allegedly stealing gas from a school bus.
