Police responded to the 500 block of Pinto St. for a 911 hang-up.
Police were dispatched to the St. James Pizza Hut where a kidnapping in progress was reported. After leaving St. James the suspect vehicle was stopped at Love's Truck Stop. Timothy A. Freeman, age 30 of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was taken into custody by a Phelps County Deputy. He was turned over to St. James Police and was transported to the Phelps County Jail for investigation of parental kidnapping.
Police responded to Lot 14 Industrial Drive for a burglary, property damage and stealing report. Investigation continues.
July 31
Police took a report of property damage to a vehicle that allegedly occurred in the 100 block of E. Washington. Investigation continues and assault charges may be pending.
Patti J. Pryor, age 24 of St. James, was arrested in the 100 block of Seymour on a warrant from Crawford County, for fail to secure a child in a child restraint or booster seat in a vehicle.
August 1
A traffic accident occurred at Mobil On The Run involving a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe being driven by Richard Valleroy, St. James, and a 1992 Chevrolet SBZ being driven by Cathy Snelson, St. James. No injuries were reported.
August 2
Police responded to the 200 block of Sidney for a report of shots fired. Subjects stated they were shooting off fireworks. Warnings were issued.
Police responded to the police department parking lot for a child exchange dispute.
Police took a report for the theft of license plate tabs.
August 3
Police responded to the 600 block of Grover St. for a juvenile allegedly trespassing.
Police responded to the 300 block of E. Scioto in reference to a report of a prowler.
August 5
Police were dispatched to Casey's General Store for an intoxicated subject.
Police responded to W. Hardy St. for a report of malicious mischief done to a parked vehicle.
Police responded to a prowler call in the 200 block of Opal.
Police responded to a prowler call in the 300 block of Florine.
Scott Broccard, age 41 of St. James, was arrested on a 12 hour protective hold.
August 6
Police responded to the James Foundation Park in reference to a found bicycle. The bicycle was returned to its owner.
Police responded to the 600 block of W. James Blvd. for a loud music complaint.
Police responded to the 9 block of St. Ann for a noise complaint.
August 7
James Scott Yowell, age 37 of St. James, was arrested in the alley in the 100 block of N. Jefferson on a 12 hour protective hold. A warrant for Driving While Intoxicated will be applied faor with the Phelps County Prosecuting Attorney.
Police responded to the area of Tammy Lane for a report of a subject soliciting door to door.
Police responded to the 100 block of E. Eldon where a report was taken for a stolen skateboard.
August 8
Gregory T. Breuer, age 44 of St. James, was arrested in the 100 block of Hwy. B for Driving While Intoxicated.
