The United States Attorney's Office announced that Harold Connerley was sentenced to five years for his illegal possession of a firearm on Feb. 19.
Connerley, 69, Rolla, Mo., pleaded guilty last November to one felony count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. The crimes occurred in December 2008 in Phelps County. He appeared today for sentencing before United States District Judge Rodney W. Sippel.
This case was investigated and prosecuted as part of the Department of Justice’s Project Safe Neighborhoods initiative.
This case was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Rolla Police Department, the South Central Drug Task Force, Phelps County Sheriff, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Assistant United States Attorney Pat Judge handled the case for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
