Whether you wish to buy a brick, enjoy a great dinner, bid on a great bargain, or try your luck at winning an all expense paid trip to Alaska, your time to get in on the action is very limited.

On March 20 the St. James Community Foundation and St. James Chamber of Commerce Progressive Dinner will culminate several of the fundraisers being held for renovation of the Historic Depot. The evening schedule for the dinner includes a reception at the St. James Historic Depot, Dinner at Host Homes, and Coffee and Dessert at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Tickets for the Progressive Dinner are $30 each and only a few remain to be sold at this printing. Tickets are available on line at www.stjameschamber.net.

Following coffee and dessert, an auction conducted by Sam Auxier.

Following the auction, the Alaskan Expedition raffle ticket drawing will be held for an exclusive private retreat to beautiful Alaska.

Winners will enjoy four days and three nights at the famous Agulowok Lodge in southwestern Alaska surrounded by the 1.7 million acre Wood-Tikchik State Park which is famous for its rainbow trout and sockeye salmon runs.  The trip includes round-trip airfare to Anchorage from the “Lower 48”, transportation to the lodge from Anchorage, all fishing, food and drinks, and activities for the winner of the ticket chosen, one guest, and the individual who sold the winning ticket.  With a little flexibility, a four day/three night period in September 2010 can be arranged.

The trip, valued at $10,000, is possible due to the special contributions of the Family of Ford and Betty Lu Hughes. Cost of the Alaskan Expedition ticket is $100. Tickets are available on line at www.stjameschamber.net.

March 20 will also mark the deadline for the first round of brick sales. The personalized engraved bricks, which will be laid at the Historic Depot, are offered in two sizes:  4 x 8” bricks with three lines of 12 characters are $30.  8 x 8” bricks with five lines of 12 characters are $50.

For further details on the fundraisers, please contact the Chamber office at 265-6649 or email: jennie@stjameschamber.net.
