Student Knights of St. Patrick have been selected to represent Missouri University of Science and Technology student organizations during the 102nd St. Pat’s celebration in Rolla.

The students will be knighted during coronation ceremonies at 9 p.m. Friday, March 12.

The practice of knighting students every spring can be traced back to the beginning of the 20th century, when MS&T engineering students decided to observe St. Patrick as the patron saint of engineers.

The 2010 Knights of St. Patrick include Jessica Hays, a senior in business and management systems from St. James, representing Kappa Delta.
