The St. James Chamber of Commerce is currently sponsoring a Depot fundraiser raffle which will insure three lucky winners an incredible trip to Alaska.
Winners will enjoy four days and three nights at the famous Agulowok Lodge in southwestern Alaska. The “Wok” is an exclusive private retreat surrounded by the 1.7 million acre Wood-Tikchik State Park and is famous for its rainbow trout and sockeye salmon runs.
The trip includes round-trip airfare to Anchorage from the “Lower 48,” transportation to the lodge from Anchorage, all fishing, food and drinks, and activities for the winner of the ticket chosen, one guest, and the individual who sold the winning ticket. With a little flexibility, a four day/three night period in September 2010 can be arranged. The trip, valued at $10,000, is possible due to the special contributions of the family of Ford and Betty Lu Hughes.
The winning ticket will be drawn on March 20, 2010, at the St. James Community Foundation/St. James Chamber of Commerce Auction following the Progressive Dinner. Winners need not be present to win.
Cost of the Alaskan Expedition ticket is $100. Tickets are currently being sold by individuals, or they can be purchased at the Chamber office at 111 S. Jefferson Street, St. James. For further information, call the Chamber office at (573) 265-6649, or email jennie@stjameschamber.net.
