Mark Moebeck returns to perform at Meramec Vineyards' Wine Down Friday, this Friday, May 9 from 7 - 9 p.m.   Wine Down Friday is a casual evening at the winery featuring music, Bistro food and great ambiance.  You don't have to plan ahead or make reservations.  Just come celebrate the end of the week and wind (wine) down.

Performers set up in the “atrium party room” - that's the former breezeway area that Meramec just enclosed to expand seating for private parties as well as music evenings.  So you don't have to be concerned about the weather as the musicians can set up inside or outside.  There is no cover charge for the music on Wine Down Friday.
Mark Moebeck, who will entertain this coming Friday, hails from St. Louis and playing music is his “day job”.  Yes, he does this for a living and it shows in the variety and depth and polish of his performance.  His voice is pleasing and the guitar music he produces really entertains.  His music covers many different genres and includes a few of his own making.  Mark incorporates pop songs of the past 30 to 40 years, classic rock and folk, novelty songs, and of course his original compositions. 

Mark has a way with the audience.  “Mark makes me laugh”, said one of our customers who came out for Wine Down Friday last year.  “Let me know when Mark is playing next”, he added. Mark has compiled two CD's of his original songs.  They are entitled "Thursday Morning" and "Shoes and Beer".  Through these two projects, Mark met and worked with many of his favorite St. Louis musicians.  The end result is a collection of well crafted, very personal songs, beautifully rendered by some of the finest players and singers anywhere.  For more information, check him out at: www.markmoebeck.com.

Meramec Vineyards' is open daily from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and stays open from 5 o'clock to 10 p.m. on Wine Down Friday.  Their Bistro d'Vine is open from 5 p.m. on for those who want a light supper and food service continues through the evening.
