Elwanda Pearl Moreland of St. James passed away quietly with her family at her side March 19 at the St. Johns Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.  She was 83 years and 19 days of age.

Elwanda, or Wanda as she was known by her family and friends, was born March 1, 1927 at Lahoma, Okla. She the daughter of the late James Edward and Lula Eliza Strain Albright.

Wanda Moreland lay in state on March 22 from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.

Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church in St. James.

Funeral Services were conducted at 11a.m. March 23 at the First Baptist Church in St. James with Jerry Baumann officiating.  Vocalists were Wanda's daughter-in-law: Lisa Gan and Stephen Brubaker. Pallbearers were Tom White, Garrett Scudder, Jeremy Deluca,  Matt White, Lincoln Redburn, Nick Krueger, Bart Cardetti, Jay Bottorff and Michael White. Burial is at the family plot at the St. James Cemetery.

All arrangements were under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.
