Virginia Lorraine Burnett was born February 27, 1922 in St. Louis, Mo. and passed away June 18, 2008 in St. James at the age of 86 years.
Virginia was an Executive Secretary for the Brown Shoe Company in St. Louis, Mo. for several years. She was a member of The Holy Innocence Sunflower Club, and enjoyed crafts, gardening and cats.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Henry John and Augusta M. (Bunda) Klasener; and one sister, Dorothy Morris.
She is survived by three children: Leslie Foley and husband, Patrick; Debbie Parton and husband, Bruce; Marc Burnett and wife, Deb all of St. James; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three step grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by her children grandchildren, and all who knew and loved her.
Funeral service for Virginia Burnett was June 21, 2008 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Patrick Foley officiating. Music was by Philip Giacomelli. Serving as pallbearers were: Marc Burnett, Patrick Foley, Bruce Parton, Jon and Jamie Hagler, and Sam Foley. Interment was in the St. James Cemetery at St. James under direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem.
