Words alone are not enough to express the school board and administrations’ gratitude for all of the time, sacrifice, and monies committed to the bond issue Proposition "Kids Count" that was narrowly defeated last week. Time is something that can never be replaced. We live our lives doing the activities we place a high priority on.

For the past several months and weeks, numerous patrons of our school district placed the future well-being and safety of our school district a top priority in their lives.

The school is forever in debt to those that have contributed to the effort of improving our school infrastructure and protecting our children. We would be mistaken not to say thank you to every voter that supported our children in the election. Every kid does count whether they are our own, a friend's or a neighbor's.

We are extremely proud of our community and the education that is provided at St. James R-1 School District. We will continue to strive for education excellence with the invaluable support of our patrons. Together, the future is bright for our greatest resource and our communities' future!
