The St. James High School golf team placed 10th in the 15-team Potosi Tournament, held Monday, April 14 at Fourche Valley Golf Club.
Arcadia Valley won the team title with 339 followed by Farmington and Sullivan with 346 each, Hillsboro 358, Potosi and St. Clair with 359 each, Windsor 364, Park Hills Central 373, DeSoto 378, St. James 384, Fredericktown 385, Valle 415, North County 419, Herculaneum 420 and Ste. Genevieve 450. Farmington took second place on a scorecard playoff.
Jordan McLaurin of Arcadia Valley won meet medalist honors by seven strokes with his even-par 72 while Sullivan’s Lee Songer and Alex Wickey tied with North County’s Chris Spitzmiller as runner-up with 79.
For St. James, Drew Tucker led the way with 48-44–92 while Jon Connell shot 48-46–94, Dusty Wilson shot 48-50–98, Kevin Ahart 49-51–100 and Ely Wright 51-50–101.
The Tiger golfers were schedule to have a busy week this week, as they were to host Sullivan on April 15, play at Union on April 16, play at Sullivan April 17 and play at St. Clair on April 18.
