Tiger baseball falls to 0-7

Bourbon, Mo. -

The St. James High School baseball team fell to 0-7 by losing to Bourbon 2-0 in non-conference action Monday, April 7.

Bourbon got solo runs in the first and sixth innings. St. James was shut out on four hits. Carson Hunter had two hits while Keith Miller and Justin Brown each had one.

Miller was the hard-luck losing hurler for the Tigers, allowing just two hits.
St. James won the junior varsity game 4-1. Spencer Vanbibber was the winning jayvee pitcher.

Last week St. James opened Four Rivers Conference play by losing to Pacific 13-1 in five innings at Pacific. Pacific tallied two runs in the first inning, eight in the second, one in the third and two in the fourth.

The Tigers scored a run in the second inning by Larry Karnes. Aaron Carson and Karnes each had a double for the Tigers while Hunter also had a hit.

Ryan Parker was the losing hurler.

For the season Hunter is batting .487.
