The trapping defense of the St. James High School girls’ basketball team put Salem’s offense on ice over the first half, as host St. James coated to a 51-23 non-conference victory Monday night.
St. James upped its record to 14-2 while Salem fell to 11-6.

Getting off to a fast start the St. James High School girls’ basketball team defeated Newburg 69-39 in non-league action at the St. James Middle School gym.
St. James also won the junior varsity game 50-17. Emily Perona and Amanda White each had 11 points for the Lady Tiger jayvee squad.
