The St. James High School boys’ basketball team ran into a hot host team in the first round of district tournament action Tuesday, Feb. 23.
Fifth-seeded Eldon had a strong shooting night from the perimeter and went on to defeat fourth-seeded St. James 67-59 in first-round action of the Missouri Class 4 District 9 Tournament at Eldon High School.
St. James, undefeated Four Rivers Conference champions, ends its season with a 16-9 record.
The loss snapped a seven-game Tiger winning streak.
