The St. James High School girls’ soccer team opened Four Rivers Conference play by shutting out Sullivan 4-0 on Monday, April 7.
The victory pushed the Lady Tigers’ overall record to 5-0.
On Monday St. James bolted to a 2-0 halftime lead, as senior Kate Rapp scored two unassisted goals before intermission to put the Lady Tigers in control.
In the second half freshman Brittany Ragland added a goal, off Rapp’s assist, while senior Heather Cain tallied a goal, assisted by freshman Amanda White.
Eden Welch was in goal for St. James.
The junior varsity game ended in a scoreless tie. Freshman Rachel Fetters was in goal for the Lady Tiger jayvee squad.
St. James was scheduled to host Dixon Tuesday, April 8, and to travel to North County on Thursday, April 10.
